A good start

The 2024-2025 school year starts on Tuesday, August 20th. On this page, we’ve gathered a lot of useful information to help you prepare for the new school year.

Ordering books

Iddink provides your free schoolbooks and learning materials. It’s important to place your order before Wednesday, July 10th to ensure you receive your books before the start of the school year. Ordering later will incur additional time and costs to prepare your order for shipping. Iddink will partially charge these extra costs.

How to Order Your Books

Go to iddink.nl and select “Order your learning materials.”
Create a personal account by registering.
During the ordering process, you will be asked for your school code.
A button will appear once to go to your school portal and log in with your school account. This allows us to prepare your digital learning materials in your school portal. You received the Magister login details during the introduction meeting.
Follow the steps; it’s straightforward.

During the ordering process, you will need your school code. For Sondervick College, it is:

If your school’s book list is not yet available, you will receive a notification with an option to get an email once you can place your order.

Delivery

If you order before Wednesday, July 10th, Iddink will deliver your order by August 16th. You will receive an email about the status of your order once it’s on the way.

Not at home? No problem. You will receive a card in your mailbox with instructions on where to pick up your package.

Linking Digital Learning Materials

To link digital learning materials, follow these steps:

Go to www.iddink.nl
Log in with your Iddink account using your username [Iddink account username].
In the overview, choose ‘Orders’.
In the ‘Orders’ menu, click on ‘Retrieve Data’.
Click on ‘Retrieve My Data’.
Log in with your student account in the school portal.
Click on ‘My data is correct’ and ‘Link My Accounts’.

Dyslexia

Do you have a dyslexia statement? If so, you can request your school books in audio format in addition to regular books. To have these books read aloud on your laptop, a reading software must be installed on the school laptop. Sondervick College offers the reading software ClaroRead.

All first-year students with a dyslexia statement (or a TOS diagnosis) will be invited by the dyslexia coach for a short course: “Dyslexia at Sondervick” during the first weeks of school. In the first session, students will receive an explanation of the reading program, and in the next session, the program will be installed on their laptops with the help of our ICT staff. Information for parents about the audio books will also be provided.

Ordering the files for these audio books and installing the ClaroRead program is only possible from the start of the new school year. So, you don’t need to do it yet! Wait until you hear more about it in the course: “Dyslexia at Sondervick”.

Laptop Renting or Buying via The Rent Company

We have a partnership with The Rent Company. They offer laptops for rent or purchase, including the Easy4u protection package for service, warranty, and coverage for damage and theft. This ensures you always have a working laptop in class without any hassle.

If your parents or you have recently purchased a laptop, you are allowed to use it. However, the laptop must meet certain criteria. Please refer to the FAQs for more details.

Introduction program

Introductory Meetings

We believe it’s important to get to know you well from the start. Therefore, we begin each school year with an introductory meeting. During this meeting, your mentor will meet with you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) for a personal introduction. The conversation will cover topics such as your personality, your school history so far, and your expectations of the mentor.

The introductory meetings will take place from Monday, September 9th to Wednesday, September 11th. You will receive an invitation from your mentor at the beginning of the school year.
